Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for tournament organizers to collect registration fees. To do that, we support payment processing through PayPal and Stripe, as well as on-site payments. You may choose to use one or all of these options.
These three options can be enabled in the Payment Setup tab of the Registration Settings page of your Settings.

PayPal
Using the updated payment setup, PayPal now gives attendees the option between normal PayPal checkout, PayPal Fastlane, Buy Now Pay Later, Venmo, and Debit or Credit Card input.
For all of these payments, funds are deposited into your PayPal account immediately after a purchase is completed.
A PayPal business account is required to accept payments.
A legal business is not required to make a PayPal business account. You can make a business account as an individual.
Legacy "Premier" PayPal accounts are no longer supported. If you're prompted to change to a business account, you can either change your existing account or make a new account. New accounts must have their PayPal email verified.
The processing fee PayPal takes depends on the payment type used. You can adjust the processing fee Start.gg allocates in the Fees section.
Normal PayPal, PayPal Fastlane, and Venmo transactions take 3.49% plus $0.49 USD per transaction.
PayPal Pay Later takes 4.99% plus $0.49 USD per transaction. Pay Later can be toggled as an option on the Start.gg Payment Setup page.
Debit or Credit Card input takes 2.99% plus $0.49 USD per transaction.

Stripe
Stripe makes it easy to accept credit cards. Attendees do not need an account to pay via Stripe; they don't even need to know what Stripe is! When it is time to pay, this option will simply show up as "Pay with card":
Attendees are not redirected to complete their purchase. A simple pop-up will appear and attendees will be prompted to enter their email address and credit card information.
The Stripe processing fee is 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction in USD.
Funds are deposited into your Stripe account immediately after a purchase is completed. Stripe will make rolling deposits into your bank account either daily, weekly, or monthly at your discretion. The very first deposit Stripe makes to your bank will take 7 days to post.
On-Site
On-Site Payments allow attendees to pre-register online, but pay at the door.
Attendees will be marked as Unpaid. If an attendee registers this way, they will not be able to pay off their balance online.
This lets you to get a head count before the day of the tournament and start seeding and bracket setup. The day of the tournament you simply collect payment and mark the attendee as paid on the Attendees page.
Start.gg's Platform Fee or Processing Fees do not apply to on-site payments.
When registering through start.gg, the on-site option will look like this:
