Event requests is a feature that allows events to request to become a part of a league under certain requirements. League organizers are now able to see these requests and either approve or reject them. This is a great way to spread the scope of a league by accepting events regardless of location!

For Tournament Organizers:

Once one of your events meets the requirements to join a league, you should receive an email that notifies you that you’re eligible to apply as well.

Within the new Events page, you may see a notification on one of your event cards:

The Eligible League link has been added to the event card. Clicking on this link will take you to a list of leagues this event is eligible to apply for.

From here, you can apply with a brief description of your event. The league organizers will be able to see what you submit here, so this is your chance to sell your event!

You can always come back to this page to see if your event has been approved or rejected. If it was rejected you can also re-apply!

For League Organizers:

There are a number of parameters we can set for who will be able to request to have their event included in your league, including:

  • Online/offline events

  • Date range

  • Videogame

  • Minimum/maximum entrants

  • Event type (singles, teams, etc.)

  • Location

Please reach out via Intercom or by emailing support@start.gg to request having Event Requests set up for your league!

Within the league admin you will see a tab for Event Requests. Here you can see all the pending requests coming in, as well as the events you have already accepted.

Here you can "Approve" or "Reject" incoming requests. When you do, you also have the option to send them a message that will show in their tournament admin.

If you change your mind about an event, or accidentally rejected it, you can use the Show Rejected filter. It will show the events you have rejected and you can approve them from there as well.
